Death Rally is Free Today

DEATH RALLY GAME FOR WINDOWS PHONE 7
HOLY CRAP was my reaction when I saw that one of Miguel's favorite iOS games just went free for a limited time. He doesn't easily like iOS games, but the sincerely loves Death Rally iTunes Guess what? This fantastic dual stick racing game is free for download right now.
death Rally is set to be a top-down racer(Kinda like Reckless Racing) but with combat content however, falls short. You'll only have five tracks and five cars to choice from. Tracks can be re-played as they are or n special head-to-head, weaponless, or upstream challenges.
The upgrade system is a bit unusual although I quite liked it. To unlock new cars to weapons you have to collect all the parts for it. These parts are scattered throughout each level as you play.
As well when you finish a level you gain a certain amount of money. Which you can spend towards restoring health, or improving speed, handling armor, or your current weapon. The game is great for when waiting in line and you just want a quick game. Usually the races don't take that long to finish and once you get the hang of everything you'll become addicted to it
Download Death Rally game right now!

The Best Free Mobile Games

It's not juast data usage: smartphones are blowing up. Customers want them, businesses want to be on them, and mobile advertisers can read the writing on the Facebook wall. And while there are plenty of ways to get things done on the run, games have provided some of the greatest sources of mobile innovation. We at PCMag have written a lot about what's out there, and what's out there for free. We love a good mobile game. Whether it's lobbing birds, dicing fruit, or blasting gems, games serve as the counterweight to the ever-growing portfolio of mobile productivity tools. All the better if they're free.
Consider this page your one-stop shop to mobile gaming. Whether you're on an iPhone, iPad, Android phone, windows phone 7 and blackberry-identifying ten keepers was a tall order in itself, though that's sure to change. If you feel underrepresented (or unrepresented), speak up and perhaps we'll expand coverage in the future.
Which brings us to an important point. Bear in mind that these selections will likely change soon, because each of these platforms is changing, and changing a great deal in the coming months. By fall, Apple will roll out iOS 5, Google will bake up 2.3 Gingerbread-if not Ice Cream Sandwich-Microsoft will crack open Windows Phone 7 Mango, and Research In Motion will unveil Blackberry 7 OS. We can't wait to get our hands on these platforms, and neither can developers.
You can expect that we'll revisit these roundups regularly in order to ensure that you have the best free games for the latest tech. While the recommendations may change, you can use this page as your mobile gateway. For the best free games on the top 5 mobile platforms, scroll down.
  1. Ten Free iPhone Games For Everyon
  2. The iTunes App Store remains the largest mobile marketplace, and a huge portion of those are games. Here, we bring you the ten best free Apple iPhone games for everyone. To make the cut, the games have to be free and preferably not a "lite" version. When a "lite" or "free" version is then available (with a paid version of the game also in the iTunes store), we've noted that fact. The other exception-and it's up for debate-is Trainyard Express, whose creator, Matt Rix, did-indeed release a for-profit version of the same game without "Express" in the title. But trainyard Express is so good and offers so many hours of gameplay that it stands on it's own as a free game. All of the games, without exception are conducive to play on the iPhone's small screen and while on the go.
  3. The 10 Best Free iPad Games
  4. The iPad game library has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year as more high-profiles titles such as NBA Jam, Infinity Blade, and Final Fantasy III bring console-quality action to the iOS platform. We've rounded up our favorite premium titles in our best 25 Best iPad Games story. But as the quality has gone up, so has the price-it's not unusual to find games that cost just shy of $20. Combine rising prices with the ability to download new titles with just the tap of an icon, and you can quickly rack up a sizeable bill. But you don't have to. The App Store still contains a good number of free iPad games that let you adventure, puzzle, sport, shoot, and sleuth at absolutely no cost.
  5. 10 Best Free Games for Windows Phone 7
  6. It's not true Windows Phone 7 (WP7) hasn't quite kept pace with the Android and iOS platforms. However, just because it's not the Apple or Google of gaming in the mobile space doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of developer attention and activity. In face, since our last roundup, Microsoft announced that the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace surpassed ten thousand apps. It makes sense then, to take a look at what free games have arrived in the past few months and to sniff out the creme de la creme.
  7. The Best Free Android Games
  8. Google's open-source Android phone platform is growing at breakneck pace. The library of free Android apps is expanding just as quickly. Last December we reported that Android had turned another milestone, topping 200,000 apps, closing fast on the 300,000 in Apple's App Store. Meanwhile, Android smartphones are even outpacing the iPhone. Sure, that momentum may slow now what the iPhone has spread its V-wings. But that doesn't change the fact that there are oodles of exciting phones and must have Android apps in the Google Universe. Forget productivity, I have corralled eleven of the best Android games for wasting time on that new Android based headset. The only rule; the games must be free.
  9. The 10 Best Free BlackBerry Games
  10. People don't tend to associate Research In Motion's BlackBerry platform with games-for good reason, henestly. Compared to the iOS. Android, or even Windows Phone 7 platform, BlackBerry gaming offerings are thin on the ground. Yet few can deny that BlackBerry remains a formidable force in the mobile sphere. Despite the rise of iOS and Android, BlackBerry still accounts for about 29% of all smart phones sold in the U.S. For the past couple years, BlackBerry App World has provided developers with a centralized marketplace, and despite a bumpy start, the Playbook has promise. Certainly then, there must be plenty of great games available for an app based platform that serves tens of millions of customers. the answer: Absolutely-if you're into puzzles, problem solving and wordplay. Free Online Game Services Offer More Wallet Relief

We've discussed the cost of video games extensively here at the blog with the emphasis being on how expensive this hobby can be when wanting to get in on the latest games. Luckily there are some quality services out there offering games free to play, or FTP via the PC.
Services like Steam, a popular web-based digital distribution site that offer both PC and Mac down-loadable versions of both independent and major studio video games, have begun to offer versions of popular titles such as Champions Online for free. Champions is a favorite here at the blog as it combines two of my top-geek genres, MMORPGs ans superheroes. Champions lets you create your hero, form super teams and battle it out with nefarious comic book style willains in a living breathing world community online. This game along with global agenda free agent, Alliance of Valiant Arms, Forsaken World, and the action-packed co-op game spiral knights have just been released on Steam as free to play titles.
Getting started is pretty simple, if you have 1GB of HD space available, a broadband connection, and Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows XP with a 1Ghz+processor, you simply have to install steam for free on your computer. Once installed, you'll have access to the full games library and can enjoy discounts, freebies and in-game bonuses, as well as a thriving community of fellow gamers to interact with.
Outside of free to play games, the service also offers discounts and cheaper prices throughout the site on titles like the recently Rick Broida reviewed Duke Nuken Forever, $59.99 on consoles, just $49.99 through Steam.
A few levels down from Steam, is another site which offers free games for the casual gamer is Addicting Games. Many of the titles on their site are akin to those you might find as apps on smartphones or on social media sites like Facebook. There are some fun free sports, puzzles, and adventure games to occupy your time so a perusal of their site is well worth it. Simply choose a game you want to play and start playing right in your browser.
EA's revamped store Origin and IGN's Direct2Drive also offer deep descounts on downloadable games, with the occasional free title made available.
